You can check whether your name is in the 2026 voter list in under a minute at electoralsearch.eci.gov.in, using either your EPIC (Voter ID) number or your name and personal details. With Special Intensive Revision (SIR) updating rolls across many states this year, it is worth confirming that your entry is present and correct — and knowing exactly what to do if it is missing. Here is the simple process, plus how to find your polling booth and fix errors.
| Where | electoralsearch.eci.gov.in |
| Search by | EPIC number OR name + details |
| Also check | Polling booth & part number |
| Add a name | Form 6 |
| Delete/object | Form 7 |
| Correct details | Form 8 |

Method 1: Search by EPIC (Voter ID) number
- Open electoralsearch.eci.gov.in and choose Search by EPIC.
- Enter your EPIC number, select your state and language, fill the captcha and click Search.
- Your record appears with your name, constituency, part number and polling station.
Method 2: Search by details
If you don’t have your EPIC handy, choose Search by Details and enter your name, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth or age, state, district and assembly constituency. This is useful to check family members too.
Find your polling booth
The search result shows your polling station name and part number. You can also use the Voter Helpline app or call 1950 to confirm your booth before election day. Note down the part number — it speeds things up at the booth.
If your name is missing or wrong
Don’t worry — corrections are simple and free:
- Name missing / new voter: file Form 6 to add your name.
- Wrong or duplicate entry (yours or someone shifted/deceased): file Form 7 as an objection.
- Spelling, address, photo or detail correction: file Form 8.
All three can be filed online at voters.eci.gov.in or through your Booth Level Officer (BLO). If your state is undergoing SIR, also complete the enumeration form in time.
